This Sunday's Theme:

"Our First Love!"

Revelation 2:1-7

In-person and Live Stream to Facebook and YouTube at 10:30 AM

Hello church!

Goldie came down with a virus – actually, the whole McMahan family came down with a virus. Because of this, the doctors have postponed her heart catheterizations until May 14. She is growing, gaining weight, and interacting with her loved ones and surroundings and for that we are grateful! Thank you for your continued prayers.

This week we begin a new sermon series on “The Seven Churches.” This is a reference to the book of Revelation to St. John’s beginning chapters. In chapters 2 and 3, Jesus tells John in a vision, to share these messages with the seven churches and the world.

As we launch into Easter season, a season of resurrection and new life, I thought it might be helpful to see what these messages might have to say to us today. Throughout these two chapters in Revelation, John records Jesus’ commendations, his blessings, and his complaints about the seven churches in Asia.

To begin this series, we will look at the church in Ephesus. Ephesus is where the Apostle John went to when the persecution of Christians was rampant in Jerusalem and Judea. He becomes the established head of the church there, so Jesus’ appearance and words to him matter. And two thousand years later, as we establish churches around the world and in our own neighborhood, these words should matter to us too.

Join me this Sunday as we look at “Our First Love!” If you want to read ahead, read Revelation 2: 1-7.

In Christ,

Pastor Steve
