Good afternoon friends,

God’s creation is stellar! In Hebrews 11, we hear, “By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.” Our theme for VBS is “Stellar!” and we are meeting during the week of June 3rd. As of Tuesday, we had 98 children registered for VBS and our volunteer list has grown to 40 plus. We can always use more helpers. If you would like to join us for a fun filled week, then contact Alex at alex.duarte@newcovenantaz.org. If you want to register your child, click here.

We are not hosting a Mother’s Day brunch this year, but we are going to have a raffle for donated gift baskets. The baskets will be on display on Sunday, May 5 and we will be selling tickets that same day. Raffle tickets are $25 dollars for a sheet of tickets. Each sheet has 26 tickets. The baskets vary in terms of theme and items included in them.

This Sunday is our final 4th Sunday for the school year. Join us at 9:00 am for our more tradition focused worship and if you prefer to be a part of the Family Service, join us at 10:30 am. This Sunday I will preach at the early service on “The Seven Churches.” We will focus on the letter to the church in Pergamon and our theme is “Are you a “Nike” Christian?” Alex will preach at the 10:30 service on “the vine and the branches” from John 15: 1-11;16. His theme is “Cutting Off or Cutting Back?”. We are just a week away from May and this is always a very busy and fun time of year. Join us for some fun as we celebrate our Family Service this week!
