This Sunday's Theme:

"Every Day Bread of Life"

John 6:24-35

In-person and Live Stream to Facebook and YouTube at 10:30 AM

Good afternoon Church,

And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:5

Jesus promised us that God is always taking that which is broken, sinful and worn out and making all things new. I remember one of my High School teachers telling us at the beginning of the school year that no matter how good or bad our grades were at the end of the last semester, we were once again all straight A students. Isn’t it a blessing to know that we can start again with a clean slate. That is the power of God’s forgiveness and grace!

We are busy preparing for some new beginnings around the church and school. This past Monday we had our staff orientation and training session day. That means that next Tuesday morning, we have “Meet the Teacher,” and Wednesday is the first day of school. We will start another year of chapel, teaching the children to know the Bible and some of its most important stories. We are preparing for a new season of the Marriage Course and our Teach One to Lead One team will be gearing up to start in September.

We will also begin a new Sunday School Year on August 11 as we expand to three classrooms. We will have a nursery attendant for infants in the nursery, next to the Sanctuary. We will also have a Preschool Sunday School and an Elementary Sunday School class. We are still looking for more teachers to volunteer, so please prayerfully consider how you can help serve. All of these new beginnings give us each a fresh start to learn more about a God who loves us so dearly!

In the meantime, join us this Sunday as we look at John 6:24-35 explore what it means that Jesus said that he is the true “Bread of Life!” Whoever is hungry for this bread, please come!

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Steve
