Dear friends in Christ!
It has been a busy week around here. Monday was the final day of preparations for the classrooms as the teachers readied their rooms for a full and active year of learning and fun. Tuesday morning the school sponsored “Meet the Teacher” as we welcomed families and guided them to their child’s classroom. Yesterday was the first day of school and last night we gathered the parents at “Parent Orientation.” Why do we do all of this? Because Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” (Matthew 19:14)
That is our vision! To make Jesus Christ the Heart of Every Home. We want this outcome for your home, and we want that to be the outcome for each preschool family home. On Sunday we will bless the teachers and staff who work with us on behalf of our vision and mission. During our worship we will invite the staff up to be commissioned for the coming school year. It would be a blessing and an honor to have your presence in the congregation so that they know that we are grateful for each one of them.
One of the more exciting events that we have sponsored over the years is the “Marriage Course.” Well, that course is coming back and will begin on September 8th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. There is a $50.00 registration fee. Otherwise, all the materials for the course and all the meals for couples are paid for and we also offer free childcare. If you are interested, or you know someone who is, please share the information. You can sign up by clicking here, or clicking on the Marriage Course slide below. The link will take you to the Sign-Up Genius page. Please be sure to include the number of children that will be needing childcare and their ages.
This Sunday our scripture this week will be from Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and Matthew 19:13-15 as we explore the question, “How Do We Love the Lord?” I hope to see you on Sunday! God’s blessings to you all!
