We are rejoicing! Goldie got to go home a week ago and she has had a good and stable week. She hit 10 pounds in the weight chart, which puts her in the 1% category for weight in her age group, but it is up from less than 1%! She still has the ng tube and lots of doctors’ appointments, but we celebrate with each little step of healing, growth, and strength that this little child takes! We give thanks to God for her life and health, and we give thanks to you for your prayers and love!
As I read through my devotions the other day and spent some time reflecting and journaling on the scripture, I heard a word that “I think” God spoke to me. I heard, “Go out and walk in your neighborhood and pray for your neighbors. So, I did that. I saw two neighbors working in their yards, and I got to greet them. But more importantly, I got to ask God to bless each household in my neighborhood that day. I think that this may become a more regular part of my routine – thinking on and praying for my neighbors. Has God spoken to you during your devotions? What have you done about it?
This Sunday is our 4th Sunday! We will have our “Traditional Service” at 9:00 am and our “Family Service” at 10:30. We will look at the scripture from Mark 1:29-39. Our theme for the morning will be “An Isolated Place!” Did you know that isolation and loneliness is the most significant health crisis that we face as a nation? How does God use isolation to build up the body, instead of tearing it down? Please join us for worship.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!
