Good evening friends and Merry Christmas!  

As the Kindergarteners reminded us in the Christmas program, “on the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to me…” Yes, there are 12 days of Christmas. I hope that you and your family are having a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebration! Remember that you can purchase a copy of the Daily Texts for your daily devotions in 2025 in the church office.  

We want to welcome our newest staff member, Susan Komnick to New Covenant. She will be serving as our church office administrator and bookkeeper. Susan will begin work on Monday, January 6. Stop into the office and introduce yourself to her.  

Here are some dates I want you to remember. We will host a Membership Class on Sunday, January 12 from 4pm – 8pm. If you have thought about becoming a member or if you have any questions about what membership means, this would be a good time to learn more.  

Our next Baptism Class will be on Sunday, February 2 after worship. This is open to all who would like to schedule a baptism or if you have questions about our theology of baptism, this is an opportunity to hear more of what we believe.  

Alex and I will begin teaching our Discipleship Training in the New Year. If you have an interest in learning more about a Jesus-shaped lifestyle, please visit with us or send us an email. We believe that this training can transform lives, so prayerfully consider participating.

School Calendar

• We pray for strength and healing for Christina, daughter of Kim, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2020, and now has recurrence in her liver and brain.
• We pray for a complete recovery for Chris Steley, daughter of Pat Andrews, following successful shoulder surgery.
• Prayers for Jeanne, for strength and healing, so that she would be able to travel home to New York.
• Prayers for Paul Collins and his family as he has entered hospice care due to the progression of his brain cancer. We pray for peace and comfort during this time.
• We pray for healing for Kevin Bunn, brother-in-law of Max Duarte. Kevin has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver and began chemo this week.
• That the Holy Spirit would come and fill us and our church with its Pentecost power, love and grace.
• Prayers for Sandee that she is able to experience healing for her depression as well as other health struggles. Prayers that she would find a renewed sense of purpose.
• Prayers for all young parents, for patience, peace, and overflowing love in their homes.
• Prayers for healing for Troy's brother in Colorado who suffers from Parkinson's.
• Prayers for Carol McNulty, Aurien Preiss' mom, as she continues with therapy.
• Prayers for Bonnie Straley’s brothers, Len and Larry and also his wife, Ann, for healing; and also Daphne and Cassidy for God’s guidance.
