God afternoon friends!
I hope that you will scroll through the newsletter if you did not have a chance to do so last week. There is a lot going on at the church and the school. Last week we began the combined newsletter to give our readers a more wholistic picture of New Covenant and its ministries. Thank you for taking an interest in all that goes on around here at New Covenant!
This Sunday begins the in-person portion of our 2024 series of the Marriage Course. This past week, participants were given a link to the first session along with a door dash gift card to spend time as a couple focusing on the foundation of one’s marriage. It is not too late to join us. If you are interested, please email office@newcovenantaz.org to get information on registration, or click on the marriage course slide below. We will meet at the church on Sunday from 5-7 pm and we will provide dinner and childcare for any with children.
This Sunday at worship we will look at two stories from Mark 7:24-37. It is two strange encounters, one with a Gentile woman who seeks healing for her daughter and a mute man, brought to Jesus by his friends. Neither of these stories emphasize the faith of those coming to Jesus for healing, but rather their insistence on receiving Jesus’ healing. Might we say, “Talking Back to Jesus!” is allowed?
Well, if you want to hear more about these stories, join us on Sunday!

Happy Fall Ya’ll! I know it isn’t Fall yet, but I am manifesting and praying that God brings it sooner rather than later so these sweet children can play outside for a whole recess period!
This week we have found ourselves incredibly immersed in preschool and kindergarten life! The kids are getting more and more comfortable and more and more adorable by the day. As everyone adjusts, I want to share a piece of my spiritual heart with you about our amazing staff. Working in early childhood, we find that some days are a challenge, and all days are a gift. One thing that I know is that each one of our team members finds joy, hope, and excitement in the impactful moments that they experience each day with your children. Psalms 32:8 says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” This verse is an incredible reflection of the role that our amazing teaching, administrative, and pastoral team carry out each day. Thank you all for your hearts and commitment to our beautiful children and the love of Jesus that you share with them each day.
I encourage you to plant your family at a church and build relationships with your spiritual family. New Covenant holds services every Sunday, with Sunday school at 10:30 am. The bonds and the foundational faith that have grown in my own children and my family at the early childhood age helped to shape the people that they are today, and I wouldn’t change them for the world! Sending love and prayers for a fruitful spiritual journey!
