Thank you, parents, students, and family members, for all of the lovely sidewalk chalk art and comments at the front of the school! Thank you, parents and PTK for delivering a delicious breakfast on a cart to our staff! We appreciate YOU!!

May 18th we will be having a talent show at the school in the Gym at 9:00am. Parents are welcome to join and watch the wonderful performances.
YEARBOOKS FOR SALE

There are a limited number of yearbooks for sale in the front office. If you missed out on ordering one you can visit Bernadette, our amazing front office secretary, to purchase one. They are $35.00 and you must bring exact cash as we do not have change, or a check made out to Carlos Gilbert.

First come First served basis.

5/22 - Field Day K-3 will be 1:15-2:45 and 4th&5th will be 9:30-11:00
5/23-Promotion ceremonies for kinder and 6th grade. Kinder at 8:30am, 6th grade at 10:00am.
5/24 - Last day of school 11Am Dismissal, NO LUNCH will be served.
The New 2023-2024 SFPS School Calendar is already released, most importantly the Elementary start and end times are changing: 8:00am -3:15pm (M-TH) and 1:05pm (F).

Girls on the Run Animal Shelter Drive
The CGE Girls on the Run team is collecting donations for the Santa Fe Animal Shelter, thru May 9th. There is still time to drop off items today for pick up tomorrow. LET'S FILL THE BOX WITH MORE ITEMS

Please drop items off in the labeled box in the school foyer by today. The shelter is in need of cat toys, Kongs (all sizes), and zip top bags, among other items. Their wish list can be found here. Astronauts Club Rocket Launch
10, 9, 8…3, 2, 1, LIFT OFF!
I hope everyone will be joining us in our blast off this weekend! Thank you to PTK for funding such an amazing event. A lot of time, problem solving and support from family went into constructing these rockets. Young astronauts don’t forget to thank all those who were dedicated to this build! We will be launching the rockets at the Municipal Recreation Complex (MRC), at the soccer fields, this Saturday, May 13th from 8am-12:00pm. You do not have to come for the entire time, just long enough to launch your rocket, be prepared to wait as everyone gets their turn. It is always a spectacular view as we launch them into orbit! Cross your fingers that the weather holds out!

The one of a kind tie-die tshirts were hand-dyed by a couple of awesome PTK volunteers and are available in a nice range of sizes.

There are terrific baseball caps and some wild color-changing cups. Chilly lately? Pick up a nice Blackhawks zipper sweatshirt!

The PTK would love for parents to attend the last two PTK meetings and consider joining. There are officer positions available to volunteer for and, parents are needed!
Next and Final PTK meeting is May 17 @8:15AM in the teachers' lounge.
