Dear Summerville Methodist Church family,
We are excited to announce that our Church is moving to a new kind of church connectivity platform called Realm. Realm not only supports the administrative functions of the church but also offers opportunities to support the way you are involved in our church, as we grow as a connected community of believers.
Realm provides every member of our church with the opportunity to create a unique profile, which will serve as a "virtual directory." By creating a profile and keeping your information current, you are strengthening the links in our church community.
Your Profile can include:
• Contact Information* (e.g., name, address, email, phone)
• Photo
• Family Members
• Personal Information (e.g., marital status, birthday, etc.)
*By default, your privacy settings are set so only Group Leaders and Church Staff can see your contact information. We encourage you to change your privacy setting to "Everyone in Our Church" so your contact information is available to everyone in the Realm Directory. More information on this is contained in the Quick Start Guide. You can decide what data you want to provide through your privacy preferences.
Your profile also enables you to dive deeper into the life of the church by:
• Staying informed of Church events
• Checking in to church services and events
• Monitoring your giving and making online contributions*
We encourage you to jump in and create a profile when you receive your email invitation. Expect to see these email invitations in your inbox today. If you do not see an email invitation in your inbox or your spam folder by Tuesday morning, please let us know.
In order to access Realm, you must first respond to the invitation email and activate your profile. Realm can then be accessed online through your desktop computer or laptop, and is also available as an app for iPhone and Android users.
A quick start guide for creating your profile is attached below. The quick start guide includes directions for creating your credentials for the first time and for downloading the app, if you desire to do so.
Let's get connected!
