The Village at Sunriver is Excited to Announce Hot Lava Bakery is Under New Ownership and Management!
Cecilia Barrenechea will be the professional pastry chef and chocolatier for Hot Lava Bakery.
“I went to Culinary School in Uruguay, where I obtained my master’s degree in pastry for shops and I also graduated from the professional Chocolatier master program in Buenos Aires, Argentina.Being a pastry chef was my dream since I was a little kid who started making the Betty Crocker cakes! But in the middle of this journey, I assisted the Business University in Uruguay. And before opening my coffee shop business in Uruguay, I worked in a software company as a PMO for almost 10 years. My plan for this bakery is to make it feel more fresh, keeping the signature pastries it has, but adding new recipes from Uruguay and Argentina with Dulce de leche like alfajores and desserts with meringue, and also European pastries. Pies and mini cakes with Lemon curd, fresh fruit and vanilla bean custard, creme brulee, etc. Also we would like to add a healthy line, with parfaits, fresh fruits, fresh smoothies, avocado toast, etc. You are welcome to come and visit us! Looking forward to starting to meet our beautiful community!" Click Here or call 541-593-3986

Parking Update: Afternoon Spots Are Here
Over the last six weeks, we have been closely monitoring skier volume, guest behavior, frequency of drop-offs, and no-show / cancellation rates across the resort. Based on these observations, we are introducing a new afternoon time slot for parking reservations that will allow guests to scan into the parking lot starting at 12:00 p.m. daily. This will create more access to ski and allow for afternoon pre-planning. Afternoon reservations will be released starting today at 7:30 a.m. for the next seven days and can be booked on the Mt. Bachelor website, parkwhiz.com or the ParkWhiz app. Now with another option for pre-planning available, we've come up with some tips to help you better secure a reservation that works for you!

National Strategy for COVID-19 Response
The White House has released the National Strategy for COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparedness (attached) which outlines seven goals for addressing the current pandemic:
1.      Restore trust with the American people.
2.      Mount a safe, effective , and comprehensive vaccination campaign.
3.      Mitigate spread through expanding masking, testing , data , treatments, health care workforce, and clear public health standards.
4.      Immediately expand emergency relief and exercise the Defense Production Act.
5.      Safely reopen schools, businesses, and travel while protecting workers.
6.      Protect those most at risk and advance equity, including across racial, ethnic and rural/ urban lines.
7.      Restore U.S. leadership globally and build better preparedness for future threats.
Oregon’s Risk and Protection Framework
Updated Risk Levels
Effective January 15 through January 28, there will be 26 counties in the Extreme Risk level, two at High Risk, two at Moderate Risk, and six at Lower Risk. A complete list of counties and their associated risk levels is available here.
The Oregon Health Authority will examine and publish county data weekly. County risk levels will be reassigned every two weeks. The first week's data will provide a "warning week" to prepare counties for potential risk level changes. The next assignment of risk levels will be announced January 26 and take effect January 29.
Updates to Warning Week data and county risk levels will be posted to coronavirus.oregon.gov.
Vaccine Allocation for This Week
-We have dedicated over 28,000 doses for education and early learning populations eligible statewide starting 1/25/21.
-We are also still focusing doses on remaining 1a populations and sending doses out to a few places that have specifically requested doses to get at some clinics/areas that may not have been vaccinated to date.
-We recognize that this is not enough vaccine to get through your final 1a and begin to get through K-12 employees and early learning populations. We are aiming to provide early next week our allocations for the following 1-2 weeks to give additional clarity on total doses as you schedule out clinics/mass vax sites/etc.
-These allocations between 1a populations and K-12 early learning are guidelines—we know that on-the-ground circumstances are different around the state and there are multiple goals in getting vaccine in arms of those that need it at the same time.
-Second doses are following first allocations

Find a Testing Site in Oregon
OHA is partnering with Google, Castlight and local public health authorities to help you find local information about where testing is available.
While we are working hard to keep the information about where Oregonians can get a COVID-19 test as up to date as possible, you should contact the site first to make sure testing is still occurring. OHA cannot guarantee that you will be able to get tested at one of these sites. It is always best to contact your health care provider about getting a COVID-19 test. Details
