Dear Evangelists,
2019 is off to a great start! We are gearing up for our E4E
(Ephesians 4 Evangelists) Summit, and soon after that, the Empower Conference in Irving!
E4E Evangelism Summit & Retreat, Falls Creek, OK: Feb. 11-13
This coming week, we'll be gathering in beautiful Falls Creek, OK (about 2 hours north of Dallas) for our E4E Summit & Retreat.
We are excited about this great opportunity for a time of fellowship, worship, prayer and strategizing,

eb. 11-13, 2019. Several of our Texas evangelists and their wives, along with our SBTC State Evangelism Director, Shane Pruitt, and several Texas pastors will be in attendance.
We are partnering with SBC leadership from across the U.S., to pray and discuss issues facing churches and evangelists, and work together to come up with some new initiatives and ways we can reach those around us with the Good News of Christ. We look forward to coming back with a great report to share with those of you who are not able to attend the E4E Summit.
Empower Conference, Irving, TX: Feb. 25-26
Our Southern Baptists of Texas Convention Evangelism has put together a fantastic line-up for the Empower Conference at the Irving Convention Center, Feb. 25-26. Under the strong leadership of Evangelism Director Shane Pruitt, we are looking forward to a terrific conference which will be a great encouragement for all of us.
Registration for the Empower Conference is free; if you have not yet registered, please sign up ASAP. W
e will have COTBE booth space on the exhibit hall floor; planned events include our annual business meeting and Afterglow, along with great opportunities to network, worship and fellowship together. I am honored to be speaking at two break-out sessions Tuesday afternoon on "Winning Disciples & Training Disciples;" hope you will plan to attend!
Brief COTBE Schedule for the Empower Conference:
Mon., Feb. 25
- 9am: COTBE Business Meeting, Holiday Inn Irving Convention Center Lobby
- 10am-11am: Set up COTBE Exhibit Booth, Irving Convention Center
- 12pm-8:30pm: Luncheons, Sessions, Dinners, Other Conference Agenda
- 8:45pm-10:15pm: COTBE Afterglow, Jr. Ballroom
Tues., Feb. 26
- 9am-1pm: Sessions, Luncheons, etc.
- 1-2:30pm & 2:45-4:15pm: COTBE Break-Out Sessions ~ David Stockwell, "Winning Disciples & Training Disciples"
- 4:45-5:45pm - Austin Stone Worship & Closing with Jim Cymbala
We have a block of rooms at the
Holiday Inn Irving Convention Center
; please let Gary Newman and me know if you plan to attend, and whether you would like one of the hotel rooms. Music evangelists, please contact my wife, Amy, who is serving as our Music Director this year, so that she can put you on the schedule for Afterglow. Also, she will need for you to provide your music to her in digital format prior to the event via email or Dropbox.
