Inside LIDRC: How EAC Network Helps Long Islanders Resolve Conflict Without Court

For more than 40 years, EAC Network's Long Island Dispute Resolution Centers have offered Nassau and Suffolk County residents an alternative to court: a skilled, neutral mediator and a private conversation. In a new blog post, CEO Neela Mukherjee Lockel shares what this work looks like in practice — from neighbor disputes to special education conflicts — and why nearly 60 volunteer mediators keep showing up for it. Curious whether mediation could work for you, or interested in becoming a mediator yourself? Read the full story.

This month in the Long Island Herald:

Neela Mukherjee Lockel: Surviving the end-of-year overwhelm as an L.I. parent

The Long Island Herald ran Neela's essay about our Long Island Parenting Institute (LIPI) and their free and low-cost workshops for parents. Right now, as end-of-year events pile up and summer schedules loom, a lot of parents are running on empty - and Neela writes about why this stretch hits so hard — and how finding your village can make all the difference.

This year, their efforts ensured that over 90 tax returns were fully completed and ready for filing, helping streamline an important process for those we serve.
