Council nominations are now open!
The Council is the governing, decision-making body of EACTS and meets at least four times a year. Each Councillor will serve a set term (normally of up to three years) and each year new Councillors are appointed as the terms of current Councillors come to an end.

There are two vacant positions on Council from October 2022. Email your nomination to nominations@eacts.co.uk by the deadline.

EACTS Task Forces are recruiting!
EACTS Task Forces play an important role in achieving EACTS’ mission to advance education and promote research to raise standards and improve outcomes for patients in cardiothoracic surgery.

Our Task Forces’ work includes developing the programme for the EACTS Annual Meeting and Academy Courses, and contributing expertise to the development of relevant clinical guidelines and training activities.

We have vacancies on the following – with positions starting in October 2022!
Acquired Cardiac Disease Domain

  • Arrhythmia
  • Aortic Valve including AV Repair 
  • Coronary
  • Heart Failure
  • New Technology
How do I apply?
To apply, please login to your EACTS User Area

  • Click on My Profile then Bio
  • Update your bio and upload your CV and Cover Letter
  • Go to Committee then Self Nomination 
  • Click Add to select a Task Force from the drop down menu
  • Follow instructions to complete your self-nomination form 
  • Don’t forget to click Submit !
 
Applications without a cover letter will not be considered. EACTS will contact shortlisted candidates in September ahead of the 36th EACTS Annual Meeting in Milan.

Deadline for applications - 15 August 2022

Please note: The final decision will be based on adequacy of the candidate for the position (experience, expertise, history of involvement in EACTS and alignment with EACTS values) and will take into consideration geographic distribution and representation in the Task Force, as well as gender and minority equity.
