Principal's  Letter
Timberlin Creek Families,

Curriculum Chats
Monday (August 29), Tuesday (August 30), and Thursday (September 1) of this week, we are welcoming our families and friends to Timberlin Creek for our annual Curriculum Chat evening. It is our hope that each family will have the opportunity to sit in a small group setting with your child's teacher in order to gain a better understanding of the classroom practices, routines, and learning expectations.

Teachers use the Curriculum Chat evenings as a way to get acquainted with the families of their students. Thank you for choosing to share this time with us and for your constant support of your child's education. The collaboration that school and home create is critically important to the development of your child. We truly appreciate our families for supporting our school initiative for the success of all our students and will continue to drive our tradition of excellence at Timberlin Creek.

If you are not able to join us for the Curriculum Chat evenings, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher if you have questions regarding classroom practices, routines, or learning expectations.

Security
In a continuing effort to provide safety and security to our students and staff we ask that you complete a School Access Form if you plan to enter a facility in the St. Johns County School District. This includes if you would like to participate in activities such as classroom celebrations, eating lunch with your child, field trips, book fairs, field days, parent/teacher conferences, etc. Please make sure you complete the school access form online at http://www.stjohns.k12.fl.us/volunteer/ . It is important that each member of the family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) complete this access form online prior to requesting access into the school. The approval process takes about 2-4 weeks to process.

Arrival/Dismissal
We want to thank you for your patience as we continue to improve our arrival and dismissal procedures. Please remember that the first entrance off Pine Tree Lane is for safety patrol dropoff prior to 8:00 am, Little Eagles Learning Center parent parking and busses only. The second entrance is for parent drop off and parent pickup, extended day dropoff prior to 8:00 am and pickup after 3:15 pm. When on Pine Tree Lane, please do not pass cars that are waiting in line. This will cause a head on collision with cars exiting the campus. There is only one way in and one way out on Pine Tree Lane and the safety of our students, families, and staff is our upmost priority. Again, thank you for your support as we continue to perfect this process.

Again, it is such an honor to serve as the learning leader of Timberlin Creek Elementary. We appreciate your support as we continue to offer a safe and nurturing learning environment for our students. It is great to be an Eagle!

Your Learning Leader,

Traci Hemingway

Important Dismissal Procedures

Dismissal is at 2:50 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. School dismisses ONE HOUR EARLY EVERY WEDNESDAY at 1:50 p.m. For the safety of all of our students, parents are asked to call in all transportation changes no later than one half-hour before dismissal (2:15 p.m. / 1:15 p.m).  In addition, students that will be leaving early must be checked out one half-hour prior to dismissal. This allows us to disseminate this new information to all of the applicable parties and ensure that your child reaches his/her correct destination safely.  Thank you for helping us keep your child safe!
