EAGLE OPS SPOTLIGHT
Meet Our G.R.I.T.-FIT Coordinators
Ian Whitworth - (Pictured Right)
Ian works as an electrician. He is an American Patriot who has family and friends who have served or are currently serving. He is excited to join Eagle OPS as a G.R.I.T.-FIT Coordinator to help bring veterans and other patriots closer through fitness and running at Turkey Mountain! Ian enjoys running OCR races because they require participants to help one another and show camaraderie.

Caleb Mays - (Pictured Left)
Caleb currently works as a firefighter EMT and also a cook at Ron's Hamburgers. He is an American Patriot who's father, two brothers and grandfather have all served in the military. He believes he has a calling to help others, especially those who protect our freedom. Caleb is excited to join the Eagle OPS Team because it is a great opportunity to get veterans, active military and other patriots all together and get moving. Like Ian, Caleb believes that OCR races are a great way for participants to work together, motivate each other and complete difficult tasks.

MISSION CRITICAL PARTNERS
Collaboration creates something bigger than each of us could create on our own.

Since Eagle OPS first stepped into the veteran space in 2016, we have worked closely with Oklahoma Disabled American Veterans and will continue to collaborate with this outstanding veteran service organization because we believe in their mission.

DAV Service Officers are experts at navigating the challenging and tedious process of VA claims and benefits along with the many other services they provide. Eagle OPS provides opportunities through our Reach One More missions for veterans & their families to connect with organizations like DAV to assist with any needs they may have. Together, we connect relationships and resources.

Oklahoma DAV brings their Mobile Service Unit to our Freedom Shoots mission every month, providing an opportunity to discuss needs and start claims with any veteran in need. Thank you, DAV for all that you do!

If you are a veteran service organization and would like to collaborate and commit to being available during our Reach One More missions, reach out to us HERE .

MISSION ADDITION!
G.R.I.T.-FIT
Guts, Resiliency, Initiative, Together!
We all know fitness is important. We also know it takes a certain amount of GRIT and motivation to workout. Sometimes it's hard to find that motivation, but it's a little more bearable if we do it TOGETHER!

We are adding a couple of Saturday morning 5K runs at Turkey Mountain to the calendar this month! We hope you'll meet our coordinators, Ian and Caleb at the Rally Point!

In addition, we'll be posting some additional Rally Points on our Facebook page in the coming months, if you'd like to join the G.R.I.T.-FIT team for some area 5K events and OCR events.

Not a runner? Maybe you enjoy cycling? Our G.R.I.T.-FIT cycling coordinator will be putting together some cycling rally points in the near future as well. Stay Tuned!

RALLY POINT RECAP
Freedom Balls Team Challenge!
We always have a hard time deciding what to recap. April was packed full of Reach One More missions and other great events. Our first Freedom Balls Team Challenge was definitely one of our favorites.

Lead by our outstanding Golf Coordinator, Zach Walker, we had over 30 players show up to play, compete and try to win some awesome prizes!

Zach coordinated with Sponsors for the prizes and we had some pretty cool stuff to give away!

Huge thanks to our sponsors who provided tickets to the Kansas City Royals game, Golf Lessons & 2 hours of free golf at FlyingTEE, Cornhole Boards, A DeWalt Cooler and a DeWalt cordless drill.

Prizes were awarded for 1st Place, 2nd Place, Last Place, Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.

If you'd like to join us for the May Freedom Balls Team Challenge, all you need is a team of 2 to 4 players. Don't have a team? No problem! We've updated our registration to include individuals. Just sign up and we'll place you on a team!

As always, we'd like to thank FlyingTEE for ALWAYS supporting the mission of Eagle OPS and being so gracious and accommodating. We could not do it without them!

What are the Eagle OPS Operations?
Outreach
Collaboration and support of the many veteran service organizations to ensure opportunities to connect veterans with the relationships and resources available to them.
Reach One More
Community operations where veterans, veteran families and patriots form meaningful bonds with each other through social events and activities. These connections build meaningful relationships that combat loneliness and isolation.
Difference Makers
Recognizing the deep, military cultural mindset of "Service" that our veterans hold dear, we actively encourage community partners to provide opportunities for veterans, veteran families and patriots to be difference makers by connecting with each other and their communities through acts of service and volunteerism.
Grants & Scholarships
This program is still in development. More information coming soon.
