Dear EAMS Students and Families,
Today is the final day of the first term of the school year! Term two starts on Monday, and that brings changes for certain students.
- Students that have a Study Hall may have that class flipped to a different period.
- Students who were in Health will be shifting over to PE, and some PE students will be shifting into Health.
- 6th-grade students will change Allied Arts classes starting Tuesday after the Trailblazer field trip.
Term-based classes will have their final grades early next week, and Elkspectations will be entered for all classes. Our Elkspectations report on the following behaviors: Respect, Responsibility, and Productivity.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up on the 19th of October. It is important to us that families have the opportunity to connect with as many of our staff as needed/possible early in the year; therefore, we have opted for an open/walk-in format for the first conferences of the year. Winter conferences will be held in an appointment format.
Your student’s Wisconsin Forward Exam report and updated MAP scores will be available for pickup. All Wisconsin Forward Exam reports are scanned and placed in a student’s portfolio, which is accessible any time via Skyward Family Access (6th grade’s has been uploaded, now we are on to 7th/8th).
Parent-Teacher Conferences are a great opportunity to get everybody in one place, and I look forward to seeing you there. More importantly, I want all families to know that Parent/Teacher Conferences are just one avenue for connecting with EAMS staff members. Our staff is ready to connect with you at any time during the year via phone, email, or virtual meeting.
As items come up that you have questions or concerns about, please do not hesitate to contact me—have a great weekend!
