Presentation Description and Goals:
This training is an overview of an onsite, crisis intervention approach utilized within an EAP Framework. Participants will learn the core clinical applications of the approach and delivery considerations when functioning within an EAP capacity. Also presented are the necessary adjustments needed to offer these services in a virtual format utilizing lessons learned from EAP CIR during Covid-19.

Educational Goals:
  • By the end of the course, participants will recognize the necessary nuance and adjustments when providing EAP CIR as compared to more traditional crisis intervention approaches
  • Participants will be able to improve their decision-making process on the use and application of virtual interventions

Objectives:
  • Participants will identify at least two core clinical applications in their role in coordinating onsite, EAP crisis intervention with multiple systems
  • Participants will be able to identify five proper group interventions based on ground assessment
Bio:
Mr Intveld is the owner of Robert Douglas and Associates, an EAP consulting and training firm. Robert is the author of EAP Critical Incident Response, A Multi-Systemic Resiliency Approach, a highly utilized crisis intervention approach by EAPs around the globe. Robert has been in the EAP field for 30 years in both clinical and administrative positions. In addition to overseeing RDA, Robert provides onsite EAP services at Goldman Sachs in NY and NJ.
