EARLY GIVING STARTS TODAY!

Early Giving for #weGIVECATHOLIC begins today, Saturday, November 23! Be sure to watch the video below featuring our Program Coordinator and alumni, Marissa Alvarado `14, as she highlights the role your support plays in impacting our students and the broader community at Cleveland Central Catholic High School.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to fund new chairs, tables, and health and fitness equipment for our Ironman Center. Our current furniture has served us well for over 20 years, and it’s time for an upgrade!  The Ironman Center is a vital hub for our community, hosting daily gym classes and a variety of events that benefit thousands of individuals each year, including students, staff, families, and community groups.

2024 OPEN HOUSE - A WARM IRONMAN WELCOME

Cleveland Central Catholic High School proudly hosted its 2024 Open House this week, offering a warm Ironman welcome to prospective students and their families. Guests were guided on tours of our beautiful campus by our dedicated students, faculty, and staff. We are excited for our prospective students and hope they will have the opportunity to experience all that CCCHS has to offer to help them reach their goals and aspirations. It was a fantastic opportunity for families to explore all that our school has to offer and experience the vibrant, supportive community that makes Central Catholic a great place to learn and grow.

CELEBRATING COMMUNITY WITH MOVIE & GAME NIGHTS

The African American Cultural Organization hosted a lively Game Night in the Father Fiala Room on Wednesday evening. The event featured a variety of card and board games, along with tasty concessions and exciting prizes for participants.

Earlier in the week, the organization also held a Movie Night where attendees had the chance to choose from multiple films, each playing in different classrooms. As with Game Night, the event included delicious concessions and door prizes, adding to the fun atmosphere.

Both events were a great success, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and staff alike!

WE REMEMBER FATHER NEIL O'CONNOR

It is with sadness we learned of the passing of Father Neil O'Connor, Thursday, November 14th at the age of 83. Father O'Connor served as Chaplain of our school from 1975 to 1980. He was then named Principal of CCCHS in 1980 and served in that role until 1992. He is the namesake of the conference room in the administrative wing of our building.

Father O'Connor's obituary states that while serving as principal of CCCHS "his compassion and dedication shaped the lives of countless students, faculty members, and staff.  With each passing year, he was known for his remarkable ability to inspire, mentor, and foster a community grounded in faith, integrity, and a love of learning. Students and colleagues alike, saw him not only as a mentor but as a beloved friend and confidant--always there to lend a listening ear, an encouraging word, or a comforting smile."

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may your perpetual light shine upon him! Rest in peace Father O'Connor! Click HERE to view his obituary.
