PASTOR AND MEDICAL TEAM TOUCH THE NEEDS IN VENEZUELA

Pastor Centeno's Medical Team

Operation renewed Hope has sponsored national clinics for many years. We call these Village Medical Assistance Clinics.

These clinics are conducted by missionaries, national pastors, or national care givers. Brother Whitfield Centino is a national pastor in Venezuela who contacted ORH, and it was decided that ORH would sponsor a medical clinic by a team of medical care givers and workers. Our ORH director Daniel Jones, PA, approved the clinic in the area of the destruction created by the recent earthquake.

It was a joy to read the good report Pastor Centeno sent in his most recent communication which ORH. Please take time to read his report about the good things that God did during his clinic effort.

You're giving made this and other future clinics possible.

Clinic Report

Location: Carayaca, La Guaira State, Venezuela

Date: Tuesday, July 21, 2026 Number of Patients: 148 patients treated

God bless you, beloved brothers and sisters. First of all, please receive our most sincere gratitude for your great love and compassion toward those in need here in our country of Venezuela, especially in the state of La Guaira. The clinic day was a tremendous blessing.

Our Team Included:

7 physicians

2 nurses

4 military personnel

38 church members who preached the Gospel and helped organize the outreach

Because of the excellent team God allowed us to have for this ministry, we had the opportunity not only to provide medical care to the people of the community, but also to share the message of the Gospel personally with every individual who was treated. We understand that this is our greatest responsibility and that our medical clinics are a tool to fulfill that mission.

Matthew 28:19–20

We know that when we do good to our neighbor, it is as though we are doing it unto the Lord.

PASTOR AND WORK TEAM TOUCH THE NEEDS IN THE PHILIPPINES

Brother Dan Cadavos and earthquake work team display ORH shirts.

Mindanao and Balut Island in the Philippines were struck by earthquakes. Balut Island in Sarangani, Davao Occidental has experienced destruction in recent months because of aftershocks of the magnitude 7.8 quake off Sarangani on June 8, 2026, and the magnitude 6.5 quake off Davao Occidental on June 26, 2026.

These quakes and aftershocks created a loss of lodging and food for the people in General Santos on the southern tip of Mindanao and the Balut Island south of the southern tip of Mindanao. Pastor Dan Cadavos and his church in Malaybalay on Mindanao contacted ORH asking for assistance to meet the need of the people and churches struck by the forces of the earthquakes.

Pastor Cadavos sent ORH the following report.

"We are now leaving for Gensan with 9 relief and repair construction team.. We have 100 food packs for one hundred families on three trucks."

"Our first stop was to visit Pastor Mark Jan Diamante, whose home sustained significant damage during the earthquake.

...After assessing the damage, we gathered the neighbors around Pastor Diamante’s home and distributed food packs to the families. In all, 19 families received much-needed food assistance. More importantly, before anyone received a food pack, Pastor Daniel preached the Gospel, and our team had the privilege of personally sharing God’s plan of salvation with each individual. We rejoice to report that the Lord allowed us to see souls trust Christ as their Savior! What a blessing to witness God meeting not only physical needs but eternal ones as well.

Later in the evening, we traveled to visit Pastor Tesoro and the church he pastors. The earthquake left both the church property and their family home severely damaged, with their house being completely destroyed.

Food preparation for distribution

"Thank you for praying for us and trusting us helping and giving real hope of heaven. We put 50 gospel tracks on every food bag of relief."

As we prayed with them (Pastor Tesoro) and considered their immediate needs, we believed it best to provide the $1,000 that had been designated for their ministry in cash (₱61,000) so construction materials could be purchased without delay. We trust this gift will help them begin rebuilding and provide encouragement during this difficult season.

Our plans for the coming week are to focus on repairing Pastor Diamante’s home, as his family is still living outside because of the damage. We desire to help them return to a safe place to live as quickly as possible.

We had also planned to travel to Balut Island, but the Lord has seen fit to send stormy weather across the area. After much consideration, we believed it would not be wise to risk the safety of our team by making the crossing at this time. The 60 food packs intended for Balut Island have been safely stored in General Santos and will be delivered as soon as weather conditions permit.

Because we have not yet been able to reach the island, we are still unable to assess the full extent of the damage there. We ask that you would pray for calm seas and an open door for us to minister there in the coming days."

"Before giving the food packs relief, we had preaching and one on one intentional soulwining"

"Later in the afternoon, the construction materials for Pastor Diamante’s home finally arrived, and our team immediately went to work. Everyone labored diligently, making the most of the remaining daylight hours. Although much work remained, we were grateful to see visible progress toward providing Pastor Diamante’s family with a safe place to live once again.

As evening approached, our team concluded the day’s construction a little earlier than planned so that we could attend the Wednesday evening service. It was a blessing to gather with the local church, worship the Lord together, and be reminded that even in the midst of hardship, God continues to strengthen His people through the fellowship of the local church.

We appreciate your continued prayers as the team presses on with the construction project and prepares, Lord willing, to travel to Balut Island when weather conditions permit."

Pastor Cadavos and his team worked very hard and has much more to report about. ORH has been able to provide $9500 in support for the work done by his team. If God provides more support, we will send to Pastor Cadavos for future work.

Pray God supplies the needs. Thank you to all who have supported these works through God's people.
