Ben Blanchard to present on the results of Taiwan's general election on Jan. 19

The Institute for Chinese Studies and Mershon Center for International Security Studies will present "After the Taiwan Election: Virtual Conversation with Reuters Taipei Bureau Chief Ben Blanchard" on Friday, January 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. online (registration required). Abstract: The Taiwanese general election on Sunday, January 13th, was closely watched, internationally as well as domestically. EASC to hold Interdisciplinary MA in EAS information session on Jan. 25

Prospective students are invited to attend an Interdisciplinary MA in East Asian Studies information session on Thursday, January 25 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. online (registration required). It will include an overview of the MA program, details on how to apply, information on potential funding, and will provide an opportunity to ask questions.

OIA accepting applications for Brian Chiou and Chiou Family Hope Scholarship

The Office of International Affairs is accepting applications for the Brian Chiou and Chiou Family Hope Scholarship, funded by the Brian Chiou and Chiou Family Fund. This is a need-based scholarship open to all international students in active F-1 or J-1 status, with a preference for students with knowledge of or interest in Taiwanese culture. The application deadline is January 31.
