The Gospel According to Peter
Christ is Risen!
Christ is Risen Indeed!
Happy 6th Sunday in the season of Eastertide. Eastertide is the season where we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Throughout Eastertide we are using the life of the disciple Peter to learn how the resurrection finds us, fuels us, and forms us into being people God has created us to be. The resurrection was not simply an event that happened a long time ago. It was the unleashing of God’s faithfulness over finality and failure. That faithfulness is still alive and active today. This morning, we will explore how that faithfulness forgives us. Come, let us worship the God whose love covers a multitude of sin. Come, let us worship the Christ that says “there is no condemnation”. Come, let us worship the Spirit that sanctifies the soul.
