Community members, donors, and local organizations have embraced Excel Beyond 211 through their annual donations. Each October, we ask donors if they would like to contribute toward providing scholarships and support funds to our first-generation, low-income students who are graduates of a District 211 high school. These students have applied and been selected to participate in EB211’s college mentoring program. Over the years, the generous response from donors has greatly empowered EB211’s efforts.
We award approximately 70 Named Scholarships of $1,000 and $2,000 donated by community members. In addition, another 50 Excel Beyond 211 scholarships are provided by local donors who support our organization. We are also fortunate to receive tremendous support from local foundations and community organizations.
