Community Learning Series
|
|
Our next Community Learning Series topic is focused on Diversity and Inclusion. Join us as we welcome Tommie Lewis, President and CEO of Make It Plain Consulting,
In this CommUNITY Conversation, parents and community members will find common ground on Kings' core values, and confront and solve difficult issues. By bringing people together to share stories and discuss issues that matter, we will expand our sense of neighborhood and bridge divides through the power of connections and relationships. Our conversations stem from our commitment to create UNITY in our community one conversation at a time. Some of the topics we will discuss include ensuring equity and inclusion, social wellness, and other topics that need community input.
This presentation will be held on February 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kings Junior High School Multipurpose Room (enter door D-5 from the parking lot located between the Kings Junior High School and the football stadium).

Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) Program can help students earn college and high school credit at the same time by taking college courses from Ohio college/universities.
The purpose of the program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options for college-ready students in grades 7-12. And, by taking courses from an Ohio public college, it’s free to students!
With College Credit Plus, the Kings Local District is responsible for tuition and books. Students may take courses from participating private institutions as well with some cost to families.
To participate in the 2019-2020 CCP program, intent to participate forms must be received in the Kings High School Counseling Office by April 1, 2019.

Dear Kings Community,
Our family cannot adequately capture in words our thanks and our very deep personal appreciation for the kindness shown to our family, most especially to our children. This Christmas season will be one we always remember. The candle-lit caroling, the generous gifts and well-wishes from friends we know and those we’ve not yet met, the cards from your children to our Gracie to lift her spirits and give her hope – it was more of a gift than we ever imagined possible this year. And so, THANK YOU – thank you for lifting our family when we needed it. We intend one day to somehow repay and magnify the kindness.
You are amazing.
With sincere appreciation,
The Tapp family (Ann, Davis, Gracie, JoJo and Lucas)
