Looking for Android Phones
Do you have an old Android phone laying around the house? Kings High School teacher, Sam Mizener is looking for donations of Android phones to use in a new and exciting class at Kings High School.
For the first time, KHS is offering Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles. In this class students will learn to code using AppInventer, a program developed by MIT. AppInventer allows students to use block coding and transfer their programs onto Android phones. Unfortunately, Apple does not allow apps to be downloaded quite as easily and only 15 percent of this year's class has Android phones.
Mr. Mizener is looking for community members to donate used Android phones (preferably with the power charger) to their class so that every student will be able to test their programs.
