Workshop Summary: "Picture Framing for Canvases - Framing Art Without Glass"

Participants:

- Maximum of 8 participants

 

What participants will do:

 

- Participants will provide a work of art to be framed at the workshop. The exact size of the piece of art to be framed, and preferred style of frame must be specified at the time of online registration and received a minimum of 3 WEEKS PRIOR to the workshop. Frames will be custom made by the host from wood materials in advance of the workshop. During the workshop participants will learn to assemble their artwork into their frame.

***16"×20" is the maximum size for the art.

- Learn and be guided on fitting and wiring a canvas or other piece of art that does not require glass.

- Receive a custom traditional cap frame or floater frame as part of the workshop fee.

- Gain valuable skills for future frame sourcing.

 

Tools, to be shared among 2 or 3 individuals.

- Pin guns, drills, wire spools, wire cutters, etc.

Supplies, provided:

- Screws, offsets, d-rings, wire, etc.

Cost:

- Total Participant Fee: $85 GCAG members; $100 non-members, pay through the website.

 

Requirements:

- Participants must provide their names, exact size of art they will be framing, and preference for floater or cap frame a minimum of 3 WEEKS PRIOR to the workshop.
