Christmas Village and Bavarian Holiday Fest Art Sales
Prospectus
December 7 and 14 at Belmont’s Old City Hall
ELIGIBILITY: Gaston County Art Guild MEMBERS ONLY sale. Entry fee is $25.00 per person.
GUIDELINES: Complete the entry form on the Gaston County Art Guild website under Shows-Christmas Village Art Sale 2024 by December 1. Remember to complete the form and pay the fee on that page.
Take in Date: Friday, December 6 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Belmont’s Old City Hall, 115 North Main Street, Belmont, NC 28012. At this time, you will complete a formal card for hanging artwork. A completed inventory sheet and sales tags for each sale item must accompany all artwork. This information is on the website and will be used for payment purposes.
The Christmas Village Sale is Saturday, December 7 (rain date Sunday, December 8) from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Bavarian Holiday Fest Sale is Saturday, December 14 (rain date Sunday, December 15) from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Artwork and small gift items will be available for purchase by the public attending these events. All members are encouraged to attend and participants may be asked to volunteer. This event will be highly publicized! PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION TO PROMOTE YOUR SALES.
Pick Up Date: SUNDAY DECEMBER 15 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM (if Sunday, December 15 is used as a rain date, the artwork must be picked up Sunday from 7:00 to 8:00 PM or Monday, December 16 10:00 AM to noon) at Belmont’s Old City Hall.
SPECIFICATIONS: The primary large artwork is limited to 3 pieces. 2-D includes painting, drawing, photography, and printmaking. 2-D must be wired for hanging. No saw tooth hangers will be accepted for large artwork. 3-D includes stained glass, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics. The price limit on large items is $500.
In addition to the 3 higher priced entries, please consider entering small fine art items priced $20.00 to $50.00 limited to note cards, Christmas ornaments, pottery, jewelry, small artwork pieces no larger than 9x12, journals, keepsake boxes. The minimum sale price will be $20.00 so package your items accordingly (Ex: 8 cards for $20).
All packaged items and large artwork pieces must be included on the inventory sheet and must include a sales tag taped to the back to include: Artist Name, Title, Price and Medium.
SALES: The Art Guild receives a 20% commission on all sales, half of which will be donated to The NC Arts Disaster Relief Fund.
LIABILITY: All reasonable care will be given, but neither the Guilld nor the City of Belmont will assume responsibility for loss or damage.
