EBSR 2020 Summer Camp Update 6-2-2020
Click the video to watch our 2020 Summer Camp Update for Ed Bryant Scout Reservation this Summer! Listed below are some important notes:

Program Opportunities:
  • Closed/Open Program Hybrid
  • Units in each campsite will act as a concentric circle (Community) and will not interact with other communities throughout the week.
  • Communities will be on a closed rotation between the different program areas
  • When a community arrives at an area, that area will offer all of their merit badges and special programming such as Tie Dye, Volcano Experiments, etc... to all scouts within the area.
  • Program Not Available THIS summer
  • ATV
  • Yellow River Adventure Base
  • Off-camp climbing, canoeing, etc...
  • Open program with all program areas will continue to be offered in years to come.

Food:
  • Patrol Cooking
  • Scouts can have food delivered to their campsite, or they can pick their food up from the kitchen to cook in their campsites.
  • All meals will be done in the camp site.
  • Dining Hall
  • Checkerboard style seating in and out of the dining hall to support maximum amount of scouts.
  • Family style dining will not occur this year, instead pre-portioned plates will be offered.
  • Meal Shifts
  • We may be going to multiple meal shifts to reduce the amount of people in the dining area at once.
Health Screening:
  • Pre-Camp health screenings must be recorded for each participant both adult and youth. This health screening must be printed off, completed, and turned in upon arrival.
  • Daily health screenings must be completed each day at meals by the unit leaders and an end of day report turned into the medical officer.
Other Important Notes:
  • No visitors this year at camp
  • Unit leaders can only switch out once, on the Wednesday of your week at camp.
  • Camp-wide gatherings will not occur, flag raising/lowering is encouraged in the campsite.
  • Buffs are provided in replacement of T-Shirts
  • Face coverings must be worn at all times, whether that is the buff that is provided or a face mask.
  • At risk individuals outlined by CDC reccomendations must have written permission from their primary care physician to attend camp
  • A signed copy of our risk advisory statement must be attached to each participant's (youth and adult) medical form

We look forward to seeing you at Ed Bryant this summer and providing a fun, safe, and exciting program for our units!
