You’re invited to begin the season of Lent at our Ash Wednesday Service. As Israel prepared 40 years to enter the promised land, and Jesus fasted 40 days in the wilderness to prepare for his ministry, Lent is 40 day time of reflection to help us prepare for Easter. We start the Lenten season by wearing ashes as a symbol of the dust of the earth, from which we were created, and to which our bodies will return. We remember our mortality, and that there is one God, and it’s not us. I view Lent and Ash Wednesday as precious gifts. The celebration of Easter will be that much more meaningful if we have prepared.

Want to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land during this Lenten season to see where the events of the Bible happened? If you’ve been, do you want to go back? Take a picture trip to the sights of Jesus’ last days. Make the Bible come alive in pictures of real places, and learn what makes a sacred destination. Your invited the first and third Wednesdays of March (March 3 and 17) at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary. At service time you can also stream by clicking the link below .
Women of the Church
We will be examining the last words of Christ on the cross from a biblical and historical perspective and discover how we can find life and hope in them. We will use the book Seven Words: Listening to Christ from the Cross by Susan Robb and by watching a short video each week (on your own) through Amplify Media.  If you would like a copy of the book ($10), please email Debbie Abbott at dabbott@hbpcusa.org

Congregational Meeting

Want to know how God is at work here at Hodges, even during a pandemic? The link below will take you to our annual corporate report for 2020. On Sunday, February 28 after worship, we will hold a congregational/corporate meeting to vote to accept this report. Please read the report and come to that meeting with any questions.  

The preschool will continue to collect clothing for The Giving Closet Project through February 21, 2021. Thank you for participating with us. 
The preschool is thriving! We are grateful for all the prayers and support. We will continue enrollment until we are at capacity. We are pleased to say we are touring and have enrolled many happy families! Be blessed!

There will be no Middle School Grow Group this Wednesday 2/17. We encourage each of you and your families to attend the meaningful Ash Wednesday service at 7 pm in the sanctuary.  

SAVE THE DATES! All middle school and high school youth mark your calendars NOW for these key events coming this spring. All RSVP's will be requested through the REALM app.  
The youth pew is always open to sit in however our lessons (where we leave after children’s moment) return on Sunday, 2/28 at 10 AM and will continue on the 2nd and 4th Sunday's of the month.
SERVING SATURDAY! 

RSVP NOW through the Realm App - we need a full count by THIS Wednesday, 2/17. If you cannot access Realm, please text Amy Zalusky at 904-598-4756 with RSVP. All participants must complete a waiver - once you RSVP it will be texted/emailed to you.  Seamark Ranch is a nurturing Christian home and family system that gives children from families in crisis the tools they need for a brighter future. This service project will be working on the ranch or one of the homes.
