ELECTRI ITea & Coffee Session -- (10/25/22) - Update |
On October 25, 2022, ELECTRI held its first ITea & Coffee session with Matt Lamb, Chief Information Officer at Rosendin. These sessions will take place every other month, alternating monthly with ConTech and Coffee with ELECTRI’s Jared Christman. These are hour-long informational zoom sessions for the IT and Construction technologists in your members’ companies to discuss the latest in these areas.
That session included topics on cyber security policies, audits, software that companies are using, authentication, and more. A recording of the session can be found here:

NECA 2022 Convention & Trade Show -- Austin, TX

The 2022 NECA National Convention was held October 15 – 18 in Austin, TX. Nearly 60 registrants from the Chicago & Cook County Chapter were able to participate. Highlights of the Convention included several Chapter activities, numerous National NECA events, premier educational programs, top notch guest speakers, a fun town to explore, networking opportunities, among so much more.

CISCO "Project of the Year" Award Application Process Has Begun! | CISCO’S Project of the Year Award kicked off its 18th year of accepting applications for some of the best construction projects of the past 18 months, through May 2021 – December 2022. The award gives general contractors, owners, engineers and architects a chance to submit projects in six (6) different categories, which include the areas of new construction, renovation/rehabilitation, residential construction and infrastructure. Deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2022. The IL Department of Central Management Services recently announced the 2022 State of Illinois Vendor Summit will be held on Thursday, November 10th from 8:30 – 4:00 p.m. at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield. This summit is an opportunity for interested businesses to connect with industry experts, government agencies, and network for potential vendor partners.
