Manual of Labor Units Survey
- Virtual Basic Estimating Sessions
The NECA Manual of Labor Units (MLU) Task Force is commencing the 2021-2022 update for the MLU. NECA Education is asking that all NECA Members provide their feedback on how they use the MLU by February 17, 2021. The link to the survey can be found here

Also, two more virtual Basic Estimating classes are available. Two classes will be held, February 18-March 5 in the morning and the afternoon. NECA members can register for the classes here:

NECA 2021 Project Excellence Awards
The application process has begun for the NECA 2021 Project Excellence Awards.  Please be aware of the following prior to your project submittal:

1.   A NECA member must perform the installation. 
2.   Projects must be completed between 
January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. 
3.   Completed entry forms must be received
between February 1, 2021 and June 1, 2021. 
4.   The competition will consider twelve categories
based on the type of project and its dollar
value: 
-- Commercial/Institutional 
-- Design Build 
-- Educational 
-- Energy Solutions/Green Building 
-- Health Care
-- Industrial 
-- Low Voltage/Integrated Systems
-- Overhead Transmission 
-- Residential 
-- Street Lighting/Traffic Signal

The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) / Chicago & Cook County Chapter, NECA and the Northeastern Illinois Chapter, NECA are proud to present the next Safety Forum featuring the seminar, "Respirator Fit Tester Training."

"Respirator Fit Tester Training" is a FREE 4-hour safety training program to be held at the IBEW-NECA Technical Institute (INTECH) on Friday, February 12, 2021.

NECA's Recognition of Safety Achievement Application Process Now Open
The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) formally recognizes electrical contractors that adopt safety and health related work practices, as a core value, within their organization. Having the results that demonstrate this commitment is instrumental. NECA Recognition of Achievement in Safety Excellence and NECA Recognition of Zero Injury Achievement are elite safety recognition programs focused on the electrical construction industry, recognizing companies that excel in multiple areas of their safety and health programs.

Deadline is March 1, 2021.
The Women in NECA / Future Leaders Conference will now be held virtually Tuesday, March 9, 2021 & Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
