Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago to host virtual "RUN to REBUILD" Fundraiser
October 16-23, 2020

Join the Powering Chicago team!
This virtual event can be run, walked, or biked any time between October 16 and October 23. Participants complete the distance however they like within the 7-day time period and submit their results. A virtual “Finish Line” event will be held on Saturday, October 24 to celebrate all who participated!
NECA Safety Summit
October 27 - 29, 2020
The NECA Virtual Safety Summit will be composed of 2-half day blocks of general sessions, concurrent breakouts and even an exhibit hall. NECA will also showcase new presentations based on current trends along with important regulatory and code updates. Member Stipend: ECA Chicago will pay for two representatives per Member Company to attend.

NECA LEGAL ALERT: IRS COVID-19 TAX DEFERRAL GUIDANCE
Early last month, President Trump signed an executive order directing the secretary of the treasury to allow employers to defer the withholding, deposit and payment of a certain portion of social security taxes in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The IRS has issued guidance implementing the president’s order. However, Notice 2020-26 still leaves employers responsible for collecting the tax from employees and for interest and penalties if the employers are unable to collect the tax after the deferral period.
