Our second quarterly webinar looks at trust, respect and tackling bias. This workshop will take on implicit and unconscious bias by outlining a practical organizational framework that helps participants on their journey "beyond bias." By participating in this training, you will:
● Understand the various biases that people exhibit
● Explore social identities and how those interact with bias
● Learn how to go beyond simple awareness of unconscious bias and discover specific actions to break the habit of biases and their negative consequences
● Leverage talent and cultivate equity, diversity and inclusion in a diverse and global workforce

Introduction to Project Level Lean- What's the Big Deal Virtual Classroom

The construction industry is increasingly utilizing formal production management principles and techniques known as ‘Lean Construction’ to increase reliability, jobsite productivity, and superior control over schedule. Using case studies, this course provides participants with a clear understanding of the background of Lean in Construction, why it’s important, why it’s effective and why they should care.
Following this course, participants will be able to:
• Understand clearly what ‘Lean’ is and why the construction industry needs it
• Understand ‘Lean’ terminology and be able to define it relative to other Project Management processes
• Discuss real life examples of the various methods for implementation and the results it generates
• List best practices and common pitfalls

The Illinois Mechanical Specialty Contractors Association (IMSCA) is now holding the IMSCA-PAC Raffle for 2021! IMSCA is the lobbying group the ECA utilizes in regard to Illinois General Assembly issues.
