The NECA Virtual Safety Summit will be composed of 2-half day blocks of general sessions, concurrent breakouts and even an exhibit hall. NECA will also showcase new presentations based on current trends along with important regulatory and code updates. Member Stipend: ECA Chicago will pay for two representatives per Member Company to attend.

NECA legal update from Jef Fagan, as the U.S. Department of Labor has issued further guidance on the Families First Coronavirus Recovery Act (FFCRA) in the form of a rule that became effective September 16, 2020 in an effort to clear the ambiguities in the current regulations and interpretations.

2019 Construction Codes Training

The Department of Buildings is pleased to announce an opportunity for you to learn more about the transition to the 2019 Chicago Construction Codes in a full-day virtual training program, scheduled for Thursday, October 15, 2020. Though all are welcome to register, the program will be targeted to architects and other design professionals, with a special focus on small- and mid-sized projects eligible to use the Self-Certification Permit Program. The program is being offered in association with the International Code Council (ICC) and will be taught by DOB Deputy Commissioners, Grant Ullrich and Hal Hutchinson.
