NECA Safety Leadership Summit
November 1 - 3, 2021 @ Loews Hotel Chicago
The Safety Leadership Summit will:
- Help decision makers identify risk in their organization and develop strategic plans to address them
- Aid leaders at all levels of the organization to close the gap between expected and actual results by addressing at-risk conditions and behaviors
- Provide education and forums that help leaders remove obstacles preventing safety excellence
- Allow networking opportunities for leaders struggling with the same challenges and discover what others are doing to manage risk in their organizations
- Gain access to suppliers, vendors and industry partners who are all working towards the same goal
- Learn more about current issues facing safety leaders today – Covid, Workforce Shortages, Employee Wellbeing, etc.
Stipend available:
The ECA Executive Committee has approved the cost of the Registration Fee of $575 for up to four representatives of participating ECA member firms. The stipend is to be paid to the applicable company(ies) upon completion of the Summit. Please forward a copy of the registration to the ECA office at: [email protected].

ECA November Membership Meeting

The Electrical Contractors' Association of City of Chicago (ECA) November Membership Meeting is to be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the IBEW-NECA Technical Institute (INTECH). The ECA is proud to announce that the guest speaker is Don Finn, Business Manager / Financial Secretary, Local Union #134 IBEW. Mr. Finn will be able to provide an industry update. We invite all signatory contractors to this session.
We do hope that you'll join us for this opportunity to meet Business Manager Don Finn and network with your peers in the industry! You can register on the ECA website / link below. Powering Chicago recently teamed up with students from nine Chicago high schools to host a STEM competition in partnership with Northwestern University. As part of our commitment to better careers, the competition provided real-world applications of STEM and the electrical industry to aspiring STEM students in Chicago. Read the full story here

CISCO Annual Scholarships Available |
CISCO has begun to accept applications for its long-standing Annual Scholarship Awards Program. The applications for these different categories can be found on CISCO’s website/homepage at www.cisco.org. The three scholarship program categories are: 1) Four-year college scholarships for high school seniors; 2) Two-year awards for seniors planning on attending a community college; and 3) Two-year continuing education awards to union members or contractor employees.
The deadline to submit the applications is Friday, February 18, 2022. Interested students may email the completed applications, or send in the mail. For more information, call CISCO at (630) 472-9411.
