Journeys Group to Meet This Saturday 10/8 at 11:30am in the Activities Building This is a group that offers support, care, and compassion to those coping with grief, loss or any difficult life challenge. If you are seeking support through fellowship, please join us the second Saturday of each month from 11:30am-12:30 in the Activity Building. ECW is collecting items to bring to the Diocesan ECW Fall Gathering on October 29th.
These items are being collected on behalf of Holy Comforter and Church of the Common Ground. Items needed are:
- socks
- gift cards
- new/gently used shoes for men and women
- throw blankets
- travel size toiletries
Please place the items in the ECW box in the Narthex before October 29th. Thank you!

Caregivers Support Group This Tuesday, 10/11 at 7:30pm This group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm. If you are involved with the care of someone with a terminal or chronic illness, you are invited to join a support group offering support, connection, resources, and coping strategies. This group is led by Robin Racoff, an experienced Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. This group is for caregivers, no patients please. Please contact Robin for details: (404) 290-1550 or robinracoff@gmail.com. Note: During the Zoom Session you may participate with or without video, audio, or just observe. October Food Drive for Cathy's Closet
ECA is again partnering with Ameris Bank and Kroger to support MUST Ministries, Papa’s Pantry and Cathy’s Closet with a food drive! Any donation of food items will help! Ameris Bank will match funds for food items donated and the money goes to Cathy’s Closet, a ministry created in memory of Cathy Norris. The more non-perishable food we bring in, the more money goes to Cathy’s Closet! Bring a few items to church this Sunday (a list of recommended donations will be provided)!

Have You Accepted the Bible Challenge?
Anyone is welcome to join our challenge to read through the entire Bible in a year. We are using the book The Bible Challenge, by Marek Zabriskie, which contains wonderful commentary, questions for discussion, and prayers, but all you really need is access to a Bible. You don't need to catch up - jump in with us where we are. Meeting Sundays in the Nave at 9:30am. WEEK FIVE: for the week beginning with Monday, October 10

It's Almost Here! 3 Reasons to Celebrate! October 15th at 4:00PM You don't want to miss this event: Saturday October 15th starting at 4:00pm we will celebrate Father Paul and Katie's marriage, give thanks for the ECA church building mortgage that has been paid in full, and Bishop Rob Wright has visitation with us! Whenever we celebrate, we do it in BIG fashion. We will have a Holy Eucharist service and then follow-up with lots of Fellowship, Food and Fun! Bar-B-Que, Fish Fry, and Low Country Boil provided. Adult Christian Formation This Sunday!

Spotlight on Servant Ministries!
Did you know that ECA Servant Ministries is an umbrella to serval ministries to serve our parish? Happy Cookers prepare and serve meals to any of our family members who may have a need; Journeys Group meets monthly to support anyone in need of grief, bereavement and difficult life challenges; Holy Rollers is our transportation ministry to get members to church; A Card Ministry mails birthday cards to our parish families; a new Care Givers Support Group meets online monthly to offer support to those in caregiving positions; and the Daughter of the King ministry meets at various locations. A big thank you to all who lead these groups! Feel free to reach out to Vestry Liaison for Servant Ministries, Cal Beck, to learn more about these ministries and how to get involved. We will feature more details throughout October!
