Innovative Approaches Coordinator

ECAC is excited to launch Innovative Approaches 2.0 to improve systems of care for children and youth with special health care needs in Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, and Lincoln Counties.

The purpose of Innovative Approaches 2.0 is to enhance community systems of care for children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) and their families. Innovative Approaches (IA) uses a family-driven system change approach rather than a program-based approach to address community improvements for families of CYSHCN. ECAC’s Innovative Approaches 2.0 initiative will focus system change efforts within two key areas of focus which include (1) health care transition from pediatric to adult care and (2) emergency preparedness.

This position is funded by the Federal Maternal and Child Health Block Grant in collaboration with NC Division of Child and Family Well-Being, Whole Child Health Section.

The Innovative Approaches Coordinator directs and oversees all efforts to improve the community-wide (Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston and Lincoln counties) systems of care to best meet the needs of families of children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN).
