Toronto, Ontario- June 02, 2023- ECAO Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Chris Cimek as President of the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO), effective June 02, 2023.

Chris Cimek, Vice-President of E.S. Fox Ltd. has been actively involved in the electrical industry for over 34 years. Today, E.S Fox Limited is recognized as Canada’s preeminent multi-trade Industrial, Commercial, Institutional and Energy constructor and fabricator. 

As he takes on his new and significant responsibilities, Chris is grateful to Ken as well as past President Brad Walker, Executive Director Graeme Aitken, Labour Relations Manager Jodi Travers and the rest of the ECAO team for their exceptional work in recent years.

ECAO, our Board, Executive, and Staff look forward to continuing our upward trajectory with Chris as our President!

Ken Crawford was appointed ECAO President in May 2021. Ken, President of C&M Electric, has been actively involved in both the electrical industry and C&M Electric for over 37 years. Since 1963, C&M Electric has grown into a leading electrical contractor within the Nation’s Capital.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ken for skillfully steering the ECAO through the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the safety of Ontario's Electrical Contractors in these challenging times.

Under Ken's leadership as ECAO President, the organization has embarked on a new strategic path, emphasizing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging initiatives.
