A planning committee will be visiting Estes Park Center in Colorado in September 2023 to map out more details for our upcoming ECC Holy Synod in 2024. We are taking suggestions for a theme. Please send ideas through your local parish delegate or contact the HOL Steering Committee. Information on Synod volunteer opportunities will follow after the visit to Estes Park Center.

Finance Report

  • A grant application to the Lily Foundation has been funded through a financial gift to the ECC. Rev. Trish Vanni dedicated her time and energy to complete the application and we are awaiting news of funding. If funding is granted we will have more information to share with the communion regarding the ECC mission goals.

  • Funds for website development to improve and update our current ECC website has been requested from this same gift.

  • We want to express gratitude to all the parishes, dioceses and related mission communities who have made the ECC budget a reality and report that we are in good standing.

Great Opportunity!

Pride Month

Holy Angels Independent Catholic Church in Santa Ana, CA participated in Pride Month with a booth to reach out to the LGTBQIA communities and their families as an introduction to our faith community. Our goal was to offer an opportunity to those looking for a faith community where all are welcomed.

Working Homily at Sts. Clare and Francis

St. Clare and St Francis in Missouri assembled "prayer bags" as a working homily in June thru August. This project helps folks in their city and is a great team building experience for the members of their parish.

They handed out snow cones on July 4th at their hometown parade in Webster Grove. What a great way to meet the community!

Please Help

Tragically, in August 2022, my sister, Pam Rock, was killed by 4 to 5 attack dogs in Interlachen, Florida while doing her mail delivery job. The story was covered nationally on CNN, ABC and NBC. It is truly a sad and sickening event. To make matters worse, the State of Florida is not making the dog owner and other county offices held to account for the loss of my amazing and loving sister. My family and I need your support to have superiors in the state governmental offices change the status quo of not pressing the matter further.

It is me, Randy, from Holy Angels Church. You may have heard about or seen the Petition for my sister, Pam, on Facebook. I know some of you are not in Florida but, if you would like to participate, then please do. We want names outside of Florida to show there is national interest in the matter of my sister Pam's tragic death. I would also like to encourage you to please pass on my email to your friends to work to protect others outside of the Rock Family from these types of attacks.

Many of you asked the Rock family if there was something you can do to help. The answer is YES!

You can help by reviewing and completing the attached link with form and then sharing this email or link with your friends and family encouraging them to submit this petition! Our goal is to increase public awareness and concern for Justice for Pam.

Below is the link for the petition. If you click on the link and nothing happens then please copy the link and paste it into your Google, Microsoft Edge or other search engine.
