Feeding the Hungry
at
Guardian Angels Catholic Community
Tempe, Arizona
| |
Some years ago, one homeless person came to the church office door asking for food. What began with one sack lunch has grown to many sack lunches each month. Our pantry is open daily from 9-10am.
|
The day this picture was taken there were volunteers from our host church and the nearby Latter Day Saints. On major holidays we have a sit down hot breakfast for whoever wants to join us.
| | |
|
Occasionally a mobile health care unit will come by to help anyone who asks. The pantry is run by volunteers from our church, our host church and other nearby churches.
| | |
Other ways we help is hosting about 40 homeless folks for a night. This is thru a local organization called I-Help Tempe. We provide a hot dinner, light breakfast and a sack lunch. Here is a photo of our volunteers serving dinner.
Celebrating Five Year Anniversary
at
Holy Angels Independent Catholic Church North Tustin, California
| |
|
Holy Angels Independent Catholic Church celebrated their fifth anniversary this January with a community luncheon.
| |
|
Ned Bradley recounted the church's history, from its humble beginnings of backyard masses to adapting to online worship during the pandemic, and finally finding a home in a Santa Ana chapel. This milestone beginning saw the ordination of Deacon Mike Mitchell and Priest Tammy Fuqua.
The church is grateful for the dedicated ministry of Fr. Robert Chung and Fr. Jacob Munhoz, who have generously served the growing congregation.
Holy Angels draws members from the local area and even welcomes out-of-state participants through Facebook.

Ecumenical Catholic Communion (with this as the cover page, the altar and ribbons from our Sunday Liturgy as Synod 2024) is our new “private group” Face Book page where only ECC members will be able to join, view and post.
You can search on FB to find this new group by typing "Ecumenical Catholic Communion" in the "search bar" and looking for the one with this photo.
Or
click on this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1757980855035329
When you find this page, you can click on the link to ask to join the group. Once you are in the group, you can invite your other ECC friends to join by sending them an invitation.
As with most private groups on FB, there will be some questions to answer to ensure that you are an ECC member:
1. To which Ecumenical Catholic Communion community
do you belong?
2. What is the name of your Pastor?
Everyone who joins will be required to agree to the group rules:
1. Be kind and courteous. We are all in this together to create a Welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
2. No promotions or spam. Give more than you take in this group. Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren’t allow.
3. No hate speech or bullying. Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind is not allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
4. Respect everyone’s privacy. Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great but may also be sensitive and private. What is shared in this group should stay in the group.
+ + + +
We look forward to having yet another way to enhance communication within our communion. Posts will include ECC newsletters as well as news and newsletters from all ECC Communities!
Educational, social justice and current events as related to our gospel values and topics of interest to the entire communion, shared respectfully, will be welcomed.
