Maker's Club Session 2
Click here to access the registration form for the 2nd session of Maker's Club. It is offered to students 5th-8th grades on Thursdays 3:25 - 4:30 p.m. beginning Thursday, 11/15/18.
Trees and Wreaths for sale
It's that time of year again! 8th grade students are raising money for their end of year trip to DC/NY.  
 
Trees and wreaths are available for purchase through November 5th and will be delivered the week after Thanksgiving break.  Orders may be submitted to the office Attn: Lisa Venz. Any proceeds will go to the general fund to be split among all participants.
 
If you would like your purchase to go directly a specific 8th grade student's account, please forward the form to him/her.

Computer Club  - Session 2
Sign up to join the second session of Mr. Crawford's Computer Club now. Space is limited. Grades K-3 meet on Mondays 3:15-4:00 beginning 11/5/18. Grades 4-8 meet on Wednesdays 3:20-4:05 beginning on 11/7/18. 
ATTENTION Band I and Band II
I would like to invite all students and parents to a informative meeting  regarding beginning band at ECCA. This meeting will discuss the band  program, instrumentation, materials, schedule and more.

Original Works 
ECCA will be participating in the Original Works Art program again this year.  All funds raised will be used for the Art Program at ECCA.
Stay tuned for your parent package in the coming weeks.
Your children have been working hard on their artwork since early September so be prepared to purchase some awesome christmas gifts.

VOLUNTEERS 
Interested in accumulating a few volunteer hours? We are looking for help with our Hearing and Vision screenings on Wednesday, 11/7/18. Please contact Jennifer Sassi at jennifer.sassi@eagleschools.net for more information.

For those of you still needing to have your fingerprints run, there have been changes made to the process. Please refer to the attached sheets to learn about dates, times and locations where fingerprinting will be offered throughout the valley.

ECCA's Annual Veteran's Day Assembly  
Friday, November 9th 
1:30 p.m.
ECCA Gym

We extend a special invitation to  veterans  and their families so that we may recognize their service to our country.  As part of our assembly, we are collecting memorabilia and photos of family members who are serving or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.   (We will automatically update if you've submitted items previously).
 
Information to include for the slideshow (when known)
  • Service member's name, rank, stations (and relationship to student)
  • Years of active duty
  • Service specialties/jobs within the military
  • Military campaigns, awards & recognition, participation in historical events
  • Photos from duty, uniforms, awards, and online images to help create context for students
Memorabilia will be on display for students to see before and after the  assembly .
   
Please forward electronic photos and information to: molly.brown@eagleschools.net  by Monday, November 5th.

Charter Garb

Order and pay for your Charter Garb through ecca.org. Orders will be delivered to your student's classroom at the beginning of the following week.
The Charter Garb store will be open for business on Mondays at pick up (3:00-3:45) and Fridays after drop off (8:00 - 8:30 a.m.).

Events
Students 4th - 12th grades come play basketball with officers from the Avon Police Department. Tuesdays, 11/4/19 - 4/9/19 at the Avon Elementary Gym 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Click here for more information.

The  Vail Rec District  is hosting a Coloring Contest. Click here for information on the contest and on their Halloween Trick or Treat Trot on October 31st.

The Vail Athletic Club offers a kids climbing group. Click here for more information on their programs for kids ages 6-12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.

The Reading Buddies program is off to a great start! If you have a K-3 grader interested in joining the program click here for details.  The Literacy Project works in collaboration with the Eagle Valley Library District to provide leadership, responsibility, and community service with high school mentors helping to foster a love of reading in elementary school students. 

Please join Eat Chat Parent in early October when nationally renowned speaker  Dr. Lisa Strohman will share her expertise about Youth Technology Addiction -  Kid's Brain on Tech -  as well as offer solutions for what we can do about it. Click here for details in English. Click here for Spanish.
