Bishops' Statement Regarding the 2024 U.S. Election |
Dear Siblings in Christ,
We write to you this evening with prayers and support as this Election Day comes to a close. When we arise tomorrow, we may not know who the next President of the United States of America will be. We are always called by our baptismal covenant to respond to each other with empathy and love. This will be a time to commit ourselves to the work of deep healing of which our divided nation is in need.
Note: The Bishops' Statement Regarding the 2024 U.S. Election was sent out to the diocese the evening of November 5, 2024.

Call for Red Dress Day Resources and Ideas from JDIP Ministry Network
Following the passing of Resolution #4 at Annual Convention, Journey of Discovery with Indigenous Peoples (JDIP) Ministry Network has heard about exciting conversations that happened around delegate tables about how parishes and worshiping communities might honor the missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
JDIP would like to gather these ideas, find needed resources, and then publish them on our ECCT ministry network page.
Contact the Rev. Diana Rogers with ideas and for more information about JDIP.

Feeling disconnected after the past few years? You're not alone. Many young adults have felt the weight of increased isolation, especially in the wake of the pandemic, and finding genuine connections can seem harder than ever. Join us at St. Matthew's (Wilton) on November 17 at 3 PM. All are welcome, please come as you are, even if you're still in your pandemic sweatpants!
