"How Churches Are Joining the Sustainability Movement" in CircleAround
"Nearly seven years ago, Martha Blume and Marj Chapman got on a bus with a few members of their church and headed to Manhattan for the People's Climate March. A small group among the more than 300,000 Americans in the city for the demonstration that pushed for solutions to the environmental catastrophes facing the world — one of the hundreds of rallies across the globe at the time — the churchgoers returned home wondering what they could do in their small Connecticut community to bring the movement back home." Did you know? Expressions of Gratitude to the Rev. Canon Lee Ann Tolzmann
The Rev. Canon Lee Ann Tolzmann, Canon for Mission Leadership for the Episcopal Church in Connecticut, will begin a well-deserved retirement at the end of this month, June 2021. Lee Ann has had a profound impact across ECCT helping over 125 parishes secure new clergy leadership during her six years of service. Her vision “Transition is the New Normal” has been transformative in establishing new forms of clergy appointment to meet the challenges of the new missional age. The Episcopal Church in Connecticut is hugely indebted to Lee Ann and gives thanks to God for her faithfulness, wisdom, loving care of individuals and parishes, and her love of Jesus.
We will be collecting expressions of gratitude and well wishes as we send Lee Ann on her way into retirement. Please send emails, cards, and notes to Alison Hollo at The Commons via email, [email protected], or via postal mail, "The Commons, The Episcopal Church in Connecticut, 290 Pratt Street, Box 52, Meriden, CT 06450." We will collect these expressions of thanks and present them to Lee Ann on June 30th. The deadline for receiving your emails and notes is THIS Friday, June 25, 2021.
Thank you, Lee Ann!

Borne out of ECCT's raising resources in the Joining Jesus in the New Missional Age Initiative, we have received more than $750k to distribute through grants over the next five years. Individual donors and parishes generously expressed their commitment to help our Regions explore new pathways of joining Jesus, who's already out there working among us. Join your two Region Entrepreneurial Teams and your bishops and staff to learn more of what this is all about. Check out our webpage for further details of what's to come.

Music Licensing Considerations for online worship: OneLicense vs. CCLI
"OneLicense is better for churches that have more traditional/liturgical music programs, and CCLI is better for those that use mostly contemporary music. I would suggest looking at the member publishers that are available on each and deciding which one aligns better with the music program at a particular parish."
