Dear East Central Indiana Educators,

As the 2025–26 school year approaches, our team at East Central ESC would like to reaffirm our commitment to you—the educators, leaders, and staff working every day to meet the needs of your students and communities. We know the beginning of a new school year brings both excitement and urgency, and we’re here to ensure you feel supported, connected, and equipped to succeed.

Our work at East Central ESC is rooted in five core values: Service, Support, Collaboration, Joy, and Stewardship. These are not abstract ideals—they guide every decision we make and every partnership we build. This year, we are deepening our efforts to help your schools thrive by expanding access to:

  • Targeted professional learning that responds to the realities of your classrooms
  • Collaborative networks where educators and leaders solve problems together
  • Customized support services to advance your strategic goals
  • Spaces for joy and renewal in the midst of demanding work

We know every district and school in our region has unique strengths and needs. That’s why we’ve developed a one-page membership guide to help you identify opportunities that align with your goals—whether you're working to strengthen instruction, support high-performing teams, achieve cost-savings and operational efficiencies, or explore the role of AI in education. We encourage you to review the flyer and reach out if we can help tailor support for you and your colleagues.

Most importantly, please know this: You don’t have to navigate this work alone. East Central ESC exists to walk alongside you—listening, learning, and collaborating to amplify, celebrate, and deepen the success and impact of the amazing students, educators, schools, and communities we serve.

Wishing each of you a year filled with purpose, progress, and many moments that matter. Thank you for the work you do—and for allowing us to be part of it.

Sincerely,

Pat Haney

Executive Director

Thought Partner Spotlight

ECESC Partners with the Training Resource and Advocacy Connector and Muncie By5 to Provide CPI Training for Early Childhood Educators

On June 17, ECESC hosted nearly 40 early childhood providers (ECP) for Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention Training. Participants learned verbal de-escalation strategies through a mental health-informed lens. These ECPs developed skills to help young children with big emotions, and the participants are now certified in CPI. This training was provided by the Training Resource and Advocacy Connector (TRAC) and Muncie By5. We look forward to more connections with our East Central Indiana Early Childhood Providers to serve as thought partners for planning future opportunities.
