Dear Members,

Over the past several months, the ECESC team has been deeply engaged in a strategic planning process aimed at clarifying our organizational goals and strategies and elevating our service and impact. On behalf of our ECESC team, I am excited to share our mission statement and core values that have been developed through this collaborative process.

Mission:

At ECESC, we believe that students' strengths and interests serve as a blueprint for shaping futures of success and impact. Our mission is to empower East Central Indiana educators, schools, and communities through innovative educational and workforce solutions that support career-connected learning, prepare students for post-secondary success, and drive educational and economic growth.

Core Values:

Service: We are committed to delivering exceptional service by seeking to understand the needs of our schools and communities deeply and to respond with meaningful solutions that drive successful outcomes for the students, schools, and communities we serve.

Support: We provide steadfast support by fostering strong relationships and working to empower and celebrate schools and communities with the respect and commitment they deserve.

Collaboration: We believe in and model the power of partnerships and robust teamwork by working together with schools, communities, and stakeholders to create shared success and collective impact. Through continuous and collaborative learning, we co-create solutions, embracing flexibility and creativity to impact educational, workforce, and community outcomes.

Joy: We believe that learning and growth are amplified in the presence of joy, and we seek to bring positive energy, gratitude, and personal connection into all interactions.

Stewardship: We honor the trust placed in us by acting with integrity and strategic discernment, embracing initiatives and practices that foster sustainability and ensure a lasting impact on our schools and communities for generations to come.

We will strive to keep this mission and these values at the forefront of our actions and decisions. We are deeply optimistic about the future of East Central Indiana, and we thank you for being a part of this shared journey with us! I also want to thank Mapt Solutions for selecting ECESC as the recipient of their Transformation Challenge grant and serving as our strategic planning partners throughout this process. Their assistance and support were invaluable in sharpening our organizational focus and strategies!

Looking ahead, the ECESC team is planning exciting new opportunities for engagement and collaboration for the 2025-26 school year. These plans will be fine-tuned through a district needs assessment, which will be shared with member districts later this month. This step ensures that our engagement opportunities are aligned with your needs and are poised to deliver meaningful service and support. This feedback and engagement will be invaluable as we focus on building innovative and impactful programming.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to advancing education across East Central Indiana.

Thought Partner Spotlight

IPLI is excited to offer a two-year professional development experience funded by the Indiana General Assembly and supported by Indiana State University. Since 2013, IPLI has served almost 650 principals in small, personable networking cohorts, and we are ready to invite the next group to create Cohort 13.

Action research is the foundation of the two-year journey, focusing first on their leadership and then bringing teacher leaders from their school to develop research to increase teaching and learning in their school. IPLI is fortunate to have many partners, including the Process Communication Model and High-Reliability Schools from Marzano Institute, as well as elite educational speakers/authors, to provide world-class learning opportunities for Indiana Principals.

As you have the opportunity to share great educational opportunities within your region, we hope you will also share the attached brochure and information with principals in your area; we appreciate all the support you provide to all educators.

The application can be found on our website at www.indianapli.org. The deadline for principals to submit an application is April 15, 2025. This year, we hope to have a full cohort to support up to 50 principals state-wide.
