Hello All!

We had a great meeting yesterday! Thank you for your willingness to brainstorm and collaborate together.

We have quite a few things to plug into coming up:

• PRIDE: This coming Saturday the 26th we'll be sharing with Central UMC. We have a 2-4pm timeslot and a 4-6pm timeslot and a 5:30pm to help pack up. More details below.

• HAIR SALON: We are looking for folks who are willing to reach out to some hair salons while we look for some stylists to help out on Wednesdays while we cut hair from 10am-12pm. Hair salon companions don't need to be licensed or certified, we can help get you up to speed.

• PAINTING: Saturday, October 10th from 9am-12pm we have a group coming in to paint the art room. We could use a few more folks who'd like to pitch in.

• GOLF FOR AWARENESS: October 19th is our Golf for Awareness fundraiser. We need companion support on shifts from 8am-5pm

• Help with data entry tasks here at the church.

We're excited for the growth we are experiencing as ECHO! We're still looking for support in some of our regular scheduled programing specifically with Wednesday welcome visits, orientations, tabling events and Respite meal train. The following are places to plug in and lend a hand, or just attend to be part of or observe how to lead a group.

Companion Orientation

October 5th at 12pm in the Santuary

Wednesdays from 10am - 12pm (We're looking for new stylists!)

Wednesdays from 10:30am - 11:15am in the sanctuary

Thursdays at 9am in the parking lot

Companion Coffee Gathering

The 4th Thursday of every month at Deep Time (instead of Holy Groundskeepers)

Fiber Friends - Knitting and Crocheting

Every other Tuesday at 4pm starting on September 29th

Monday - Thursday, 10am - 2pm (contact April)

Also in the workings is a mobile library that Lisa has been excited to get going for a long time!

Pride Festival Tabling Opportunity

Saturday September 27th from 12pm-6pm

Pack Square Park

Haywood Street will be collaborating with Central UMC and Reconciling Ministries for a table at Pride this year. We're so grateful and it you'd like to join and share about Haywood Street Congregation, we're looking for 2 or 3 people for the following timeslots:

2pm-4pm

4pm-6pm (ideally this time slot would help to pack up)

5:30pm to help pack up

Our table will be in front of French Broad Chocolate Lounge.

Harvest Festival Tabling Opportunity

Saturday October 24th from 4:30pm-6:30pm
