Join us for our newest support group focusing on
Anticipatory Grief and Ambiguous Loss.

We will meet online Monday, June 29th

How does it impact me as a caregiver and does my loved one experience it?
Please click on the image to hear ECI's Elizabeth Brodhead, LMSW discuss understanding grief and ambiguous loss in relation to caregiving.

The Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) defines these terms as:
* “ Anticipatory grief is the emotional pain and sadness that arises in advance of an expectant loss or death.”
* “ Ambiguous loss is the confusing feeling of interacting with someone who is not fully present mentally or socially, as often happens to family caregivers who are closely involved with a person living with dementia.”

In return you will be sent a link and information on how to join our online support group.
Are You Caring for a
Loved One Living with Dementia?

We will meet online Wednesday, July 1st
from 11:00am - 12 noon
Whether you are caring for your loved one at home or they reside in a facility, the stress of caring for a loved one with dementia, especially during this time, can be overwhelming with uncertainty.

From the comfort of your own home, you are invited to fellowship with other caregivers sharing your concerns, struggles, and questions. This group is for family caregivers of a loved one with dementia or memory issues only.

In return you will be sent a link and information on how to join our online support group.
Caregiver Support Group Online
Via facilitated online meetings, this is an opportunity to meet and share with other caregivers seeking emotional support and a necessary sense of community with like-minded people. This group is non-disease specific to encourage caregivers to focus on their own concerns and circumstances.

This group will not meet this week in observance of the July 4th holiday. However we will meet again on Friday, July 10th.

In return you will be sent a link and information on how to join our online support group.
Restorative Yoga online via ZOOM!
ECI is pleased to announce that our volunteer yoga instructors, Marcia Berens and Franessa Stalter, are now teaching their wonderful Restorative Yoga classes via ZOOM.

The weekly day and time remain the same as before: Thursdays at 9:30am – 10:30am.

In return you will be sent a link and information on how to join our online restorative yoga class.

If you have any questions about using ZOOM, please reach out to Elizabeth via email: EBrodhead@HospiceSavannah.org , or call her direct line at (912) 629-1069.
We hope you will join us in this exciting new venture!
