Shelesha Taylor from the DisAbility Law Center of Virginia will do a presentation on self-advocacy in regard to paratransit rights.
The presentations are geared to educate staff, advocates, individuals with disabilities, and community service providers about identifying and addressing issues related to paratransit/curb side transportation. Many of the “frequently asked questions” about paratransit will be answered and discussed and information on how to report violations and barriers to paratransit services will be explained as well.

Disability Rights Advocates from the disability Law Center of Virginia will present on issues related to employment and disability. The Center believes that everyone should be employed to their maximum potential and will examine issues such as employment rights under the ADA, reasonable accommodations, and vocational rehabilitation services.

ECNV Spotlight

The Endependence Center of Northern Virginia had it's Annual Winter Gala on December 18th 2018 at the NRECA. We had various programs and entertainment at the Gala. Our keynote speaker Delegate Marcus Simon spoke or various topics including changes to Medicaid.
