Loudoun Endependence hosts workshop, to address ways aging and disabled populations can address common challenges of inaccessibility in the home while facing debilitating cognitive and physical mobility decline.
The session includes speakers, Claire Kelly, an occupational therapist and Certified Aging in Place (CAP) Specialist working in Virginia and DC, owner of Live Well Home Modification Consulting, and LEND staff will briefly overview their programs as well as discuss care-giving resources, and county, state and federal housing supplemental/financial programs that may provide some funding for your home modification project if you qualify.

Jim is the general manager of Mobility Works in Alexandra. He is passionate about fighting for the rights and needs of all people with disabilities and our Veterans who have served our Country. By serving on the Board of the ECNV he hopes to use his experience in the Automotive Industry to help improve transportation challenges in the disabled community by working along with the other Board members and leaning on their experience in overcoming the challenges for all people with disabilities and continue to fight for their rights. Kelley joined The Law Offices of John Morrison, LLC in 2015 after working for two nationally recognized plaintiff’s firms in Atlanta, Georgia. She has always represented those who have been injured due to the negligence of others and brings her extensive litigation background and trial experience to The Law Offices of John Morrison, LLC to represent clients in personal injury, wrongful death, premise liability and medical malpractice cases. Running has been an experience for me dating back to when I was young. I have been running since I was 11 years of age, and out of curiosity, it has turned into strength. Living with blindness has presented challenges, but it has given me the greatest gift of all, self-confidence.
