OEA has announced that the 2020 Summer Leadership Academy June 22-24 will be held virtually. There is no registration fee and registration remains open. The
NEA Annual Representative Assembly
scheduled to held in Atlanta this summer will now be held virtually on July 2 & 3. The RA is the largest deliberative assembly in the world where over 8,000 delegates attend to the business of the national association.

OEA Treasurers' Training
led by OEA Secretary-Treasurer Mark Hill will be offered on Wednesday, July 15, at two levels-
- 9:00 AM-10:30 AM Novice for treasurers with 1-5 years experience
- 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Experienced for treasurers with 6+ years
Treasurers are welcome to attend one or both of the sessions. Deadline to register is July 10.

The Building Rep Training
, Thursday, July 23 from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM, is appropriate for those members taking on the association role of Building Rep or any member who is interested in learning more about member rights or leadership roles in the association.This virtual session will be led by OEA Labor Relations Consultants Sarah Drinkard and Alison Hoffa. The
ECOEA Special Meeting of the Representative Assembly
was held virtually on Saturday, April 25 for the ECOEA delegates to attend to three important items of business. Because the ECOEA Spring Representative Assembly was postponed, the ECOEA Executive Committee authorized a Special Meeting to take care of three timely business items.
Nominations for the expiring terms for ECOEA County Representatives and ECOEA Representatives to several OEA Committees were held. As there were no contested races, the candidates who had filed Letters of Intent or were nominated from the floor were elected by acclamation. Congratulations to the following members elected to the

The ECOEA Executive Committee brought forward a motion to increase ECOEA annual dues by $2, making the dues for a full-time certified educator $13 per year. This is the first dues increase by ECOEA since 2009. The motion passed.
The ECOEA 2020-2021 budget was reviewed and approved.
Because the Spring Representative Assembly was postponed, other business items normally on the Spring agenda will be moved to the ECOEA Fall Representative Assembly on Saturday, November 7, 2020.
