East Cleveland, OH — The City of East Cleveland has two potential mayors on the ballot for voting day on November 4, 2025. This includes current mayor Lateek R. Shabazz and former interim mayor Sandra Morgan.
Shabazz and Morgan will be part of a non-partisan forum in the East Cleveland Public Library (ECPL) Greg L. Reese Performing Arts Center on September 20, 2025, beginning at 2:00 pm. The event is hosted by the League of Women Voters (LWV), East Cleveland Chapter. The forums purpose is to foster a safe space for the community to have a discussion with those who want to represent them and is open to the public. On September 13, 2025, the weekend prior, LWV hosted another forum for East Cleveland City Council candidates at the ECPL. The ECPL’s address is 14101 Euclid Ave., East Cleveland, OH 44112.
Election day for East Cleveland's mayoral general election is November 4, 2025. The primary election, which determined the two final candidates, was held on September 9, 2025.
